![]() What are the Office Hours? HAS Business Solutions is open weekdays from 8-30am to 5-00pm. We also offer extended open hours during tax return season and during this time update our website homepage with new opening times. Please consult our home page for updated times during tax season. How do I make an appointment? Simply email us to request an appointment, call the office during business hours or book online. You may book an appointment with your preferred accountant or if you are new to HAS Business Solutions, we can recommend someone suited to your individual needs. Where is HAS Business Solutions? We are located at 2/73 Hartley St (on the corner of Stott Tce and Hartley St) with plenty of carparking at the side of the building between the old Melanka’s and HAS Business Solutions. Privacy is important to me, how do I know that my financial details will be kept private? At HAS we are individuals too and understand that personal information is to be treated with complete confidence. At HAS Business Solutions you can be guaranteed that your personal and financial information will not be shared with any third parties. If in select cases this is required to complete your work, we will obtain permission from you prior to any discussion. We realise you have put your trust in us and we will promise not to break that trust. For individuals… How much does an individual tax return cost? An EasiTax return is $165. An Individual Tax Return including consultation with an accountant fee paid at time of interview $187 An Individual Tax Return including consultation with an accountant deducted at the time of refund $209 Please note that tax return costs may fluctuate based on your particular requirements. Payment can be made with cash, Visa, Mastercard or you may elect to deduct from your refund. How long does it take to get my tax return completed? The appointment itself is usually around half an hour for simple tax returns and an hour or longer for complex returns. At HAS we pride ourselves on a quick turnaround and in most cases a simple tax return will be completed on the day of or the day following your appointment. If your tax return is more complex it may take longer. What paperwork do I need to bring to an appointment? Individual clients are required to bring details of their income, work related deductions and other deductions.
The ATO state that personal tax returns need to be completed by October 31, however if your tax return is completed by a registered accountant this deadline can be extended to May of the following year. I have, ahem, a few years worth of outstanding tax returns. What should I do? First of all don't panic, we can help you out. In the majority of cases we can complete all your tax returns during one appointment, just be sure to inform our Business Host when you make the appointment of the tax returns you need to complete during the appointment so we can allow a sufficient amount of time. What if I can't get to your office? You have several options:
For Partnerships, Sole Traders, Trusts and Incorporated bodies….. Who is my contact point? You may either contact your accountant directly or to check on the progress of your work contact the Client Services Assistant who can attend to your needs. At the conclusion of your work you will receive a phone call to arrange a meeting with your accountant to sign documentation. Documentation will be duly lodged. What do HAS Business Solutions charge? After an initial consultation to determine the breadth of your work requirements we will send you a letter of engagement. This will detail the scope of the work and related costs. For work to proceed you will need to sign and return the letter of engagement. Do HAS Business Solutions charge for initial interviews? If the interview is to assess your needs and determine the scope of the work required then there is no initial charge. If the interview is primarily for advice then we will invoice you accordingly. I already have an accountant, is it easy to change? If you wish to change from your current accountant to HAS it is a simple process. Once you have selected to use our services we send a couresty letter to your prior accountant notifying them of the change. No letter is sent without your authorisation. What is HAS Business Solutions invoicing policy? HAS Business Solutions invoice periodically. We offer several methods of payment. Apart from the convenience of cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS, we also offer payment via BPay and Australia Post Bill Pay. Our credit terms for account holders are 14 days.
